Krystal Kinney, Sommelier
As a young girl growing up in West Virginia, Krystal learned southern hospitality and an appreciation of spirits from a wine-loving Aunt. It was no surprise when she pursued degrees in culinary arts and hospitality in Southern Florida.
Out of curiosity in 2007, Even without training, Krystal could pick up on the subtleties of the wines, their earthiness, and Old World flavors. She decided to go back to school at Le Cordon Bleu, USSA (United States Sommelier Association). She decided to travel the world of wine.
Upon returning to the states, Krystal progressed her training, becoming an advanced, level three sommelier. She became the sommelier at The Blind Monk, where she served over 100 types of wines by the glass, each hand picked by her and rotated weekly.
A Journey Through the Vineyards: For as long as I can remember, wine has been my true love and constant companion. From the picturesque vineyards of Bordeaux to the rolling hills of Tuscany, I have wandered the world, tasting the fruits of centuries-old traditions and witnessing the magic that unfolds in each glass of wine. My journey as a Sommelier has been a thrilling odyssey of discovery, education, and sharing the wonders of the grape with others.
Why Wine Goddess? Wine Goddess was born out of my desire to create a haven for wine enthusiasts seeking to embark on unforgettable wine touring experiences. Whether you’re a seasoned oenophile or just beginning your wine journey, this platform is designed to be your trusted guide, leading you to some of the most exceptional vineyards and hidden gems across the globe.
